Our Story
Charlie Mitich has been in the restaurant business in Escondido for 47 years. He along with his daughter Susie have been at this location since 1992. Charlie’s Family Restaurant is a family-owned and operated business. We know the importance of delicious food at affordable prices.

2/22/2023 We work across the street from them and have gone more times than can remember. Â Today we were craving comfort type food with the rain. Â Luckily todays menu included Chicken and Dumplings.. Â OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS !!!! Â DELISIOUS. Â Please give them a try.

3/29/2023 Thought I would try out another nice family restaurant and I’m so happy I did.
I brought my Mom out to lunch and since I’m on Hawaiian time (3 hours) behind.
It all worked out for us.
I got breakfast and my mom got lunch.
Everything we tried was delicious.
The other winner is their homemade pies Â
I came back at least 4 different times and tried most of their Pies.
The Staff are really all very nice which makes this restaurant my new fave in Escondido.

2/05/2023 this is the best damned biscuits & gravy ive had this side of the mighty mississippi river ever! the food is off the chart good! and the service ain’t bad either! Â its a restaurant straigt out of montgomery alabama circa 1981 the year i graduated sidney lanier high school on so court st. montgomery alabama go poets!
